I started writing fiction in 2000, after several months of being unable to write poetry and after my mother told me to stop complaining that I no longer knew how to rhyme and just to write prose instead. Brutal but it worked.
My writing style varies from black comedy to psychological thriller and sometimes a mixture of both. I have also recently embarked on a series of fantasy novels set in the country of Gathandria. These include "The Gifting" and "Hallsfoot's Battle".
"Thorn in the Flesh" was longlisted in the Crime Writers' Association Debut Dagger Awards 2006 and is available as an eBook from the Mobipocket or Amazon.com websites. "Maloney's Law", published by PD Publishing, was shortlisted for the 2006 Harry Bowling Prize (for novels set in London) and is available from Amazon, both in the UK and the US.
